Week 4 This week was focused on making art. I wanted to make some of the art for the World War II level of the game. I made 4 weapons and a nice background. The weapons are: the M1 Garand, Thompson, Flamethrower, and the MP40. The background is based on a druriey battlefield road in Europe. I also want to have parallax scrolling in all of my levels. For this level, I want it to be a light fog that moves over the battlefield. I think that it came out really well. ell.
Week 3 This week, I spent working through the tutorial on how to make a Shoot’em Up with Construct 2 (The game engine I am using). This went way better than I expected! Not only was the tutorial fun and easy, it also showed me tips and tricks on how to make a quality game in C2. I have made multiple games with C2, but this really helped solidify what I know how to do. I learned how to make powerups and multiple levels that string together, which I didn’t quite know how to do.
This is the first post for my deveolpment blog for my Histoical Shoot'em Up. I will be updating this weekly.
